So I’m a little late on posting some of my pictures from the past two events that I’ve attended, but I figured it’s better late than never. Right? All of the pictures were taken at the ACL Moody Theatre in Austin, TX, which I highly recommend. There’s not a bad seat in the house and tickets are very reasonably priced. My first show at the theatre was good ol’ Willie Nelson on New Years Eve. He played an amazing show, it was one of the most memorable New Year’s countdowns yet. Bob Schneider on Valentine’s was show number two and let’s just say it may have been the best shows I’ve ever seen….swoon!!!! Enjoy the pics!

This past week was my son’s 4th birthday so I took the opportunity to make these amazing cupcakes. Overall they were rather easy, although the prep can be a bit of a pain. I was lucky enough to have the help of my dear friend, Jayme……she’s now a pro Oreo slicer. Click here for the recipe I used.
Here are the changes I made-
I only made the large cupcakes, so I didn’t purchase any of the mini items (Mini Oreos, coated sunflower seeds & Mini M&Ms). I traded the Junior Mints for Reese’s Pieces and added the hearts from the Runts to make some of the owls girly. I omitted the white icing, and found that I only needed one container of chocolate icing for a total of 18 ridiculously cute full size owls. Enjoy!!!!

Here it is…..everything is painted, dried, and now hanging on our fun little tree! Now it’s time to get all this paint off of my hands! Here’s to a happy Sunday and a manicure that doesn’t match our crafts!!

This was a really fun little project with Aiden. We used children’s plastic toy animals, old book pages and covered them in non-traditional Christmas colors. Having a kid makes everything more fun! This tree is going to be amazing!

I’ve been searching for vintage Catholic statues for over a year now and this past week I found EXACTLY what I was looking for at the City Wide Garage Sale. I love the moment I lock eyes on that wish list item and the hunt is finally over! I love these guys! Yes, they’re beat up and to me that means they have stories to tell. When I purchase vintage items I like to imagine the people that handled the items and the homes they’ve been in. Now that I found my vintage statues it’s time to move to the next wish list item…..

I fell in love with this tablecloth at the City Wide Garage Sale this weekend. Here was the issue… I really don’t have a need for a tablecloth this size. While looking around at the other goodies in the booth the idea came to me to turn the table cloth into curtains!!! So that’s the plan. Once they’re completed I’ll be sure to post pictures…..if I don’t complete this project I’ll be sure to post the link to purchase it on eBay. Haha!
